For Spring-Summer 2027, Louis Vuitton places movement at the heart of its design language. Nicolas Ghesquière explores the relationship between clothing and the body, bringing together fluid silhouettes, lightweight materials and considered construction.
Presented at the Cour Carrée of the Louvre in Paris, the collection balances structure with softness. Garments appear almost weightless against the architectural setting, their forms designed to follow the body’s contours rather than restrict them. Materiality is central to this approach. Double and triple composite chiffons introduce lightness, while silk and cashmere scarf fabrics extend across a range of garments. Leather takes on the quality of a second skin, reinforcing the collection’s emphasis on both sensation and function.

Tailoring is reworked through reduction. Internal layers are removed to streamline traditional construction, while knitwear traces the body’s shape. Footwear provides a grounding element against the collection’s more ethereal silhouettes.
Beneath the apparent simplicity lies a considered approach to form. Proportions, surfaces and materials work together to create garments that accommodate movement without sacrificing structure. The collection brings design and function into dialogue, drawing on the ideas of movement and travel.

For Spring-Summer 2027, lightness is not simply an aesthetic. It is a principle that informs how the clothes are constructed, how they sit on the body and how they move.
